Signal conditioning chip for high - end automotive resistance bridge sensor JHM150X

JHM1501 is a high-precision signal conditioning circuit with digital compensation algorithm designed for Wheatstone bridge sensor signals, which compensates for offset, sensitivity, temperature drift and non-linearity of the sensor signal simultaneously. The calibration coefficients for the compensation algorithm are stored in an on-chip MTP.

The programmable analog front-end circuit performance of JHM1501 can be flexibly adjusted to adapt to the output signal range and offset voltage of almost all types of bridge sensors.Constant voltage or constant current excitation can be provided for bridge sensors. The internal integrated 16-bit ADC digitises the bridge sensor signal and the temperature signal. The temperature measurement can be carried out using the internal temperature sensor, the bridge resistance of the external bridge sensor itself, an external NTC resistor or a diode in various optional ways.

JHM1501 has an integrated 12-bit DAC, which outputs the analogue voltage via a buffer in proportional voltage output mode. It is also possible to select the SENT protocol to output digital pulses, or to output PWM signals. The JHM1501 also supports a self-diagnostic function that automatically diagnoses and indicates errors in the bridge sensor, signal path, power supply and memory.

JHM1501 supports power supply overvoltage protection, reverse power supply polarity protection and output short circuit protection to meet the requirements of automotive and industrial applications.
